'BananaPirateV2.img' for Realtek RTL8188 based WiFI <---> piefacewow, works for me and I hope it works for you!
NEW! Now scrubbed for small download size (191MB) with persistent Kareha Forum included!
PirateBox is a DIY anonymous offline file-sharing and communications system built with free software and inexpensive off-the-shelf hardware.
8GB "room to share!" Image Build Base utilizing "Linux bananian 3.4.104+ #3 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 19 08:28:34 CET 2014 armv7l". Image can be resized using 'bananian-config'.
Git build hostapd for Realtek RTL8188 based WiFI devices ;)
The PirateBox set to run on default-startup. PirateBox works only on WiFI-Access with redirect. Network on Ethernet-Port is a normal “dhcp-client”, so no interference with your home network.
What is the admin password for the Kareha Forum?
How do I reach the admin page?
Once your connected to the WiFI AP go to: "http://anyaddress.whatever/board/admin.pl"
How do I change the Kareha Forum admin password?
"sudo nano /opt/piratebox/share/board/config.pl"
Change the word "bananapi" in these two lines:
use constant ADMIN_PASS => 'bananapi';
use constant SECRET => 'bananapi';
'ifup eth0' or 'sudo ifup eth0'
Time on Forum msg's may show wrong time if no access to an ntp 'network time server' on cold boot. You can sync it by doing 'ifup eth0' wait a minute then do 'ifdown',
