[Solved]Image v1412 from Dec 23th, 2014: kernel panic on reboot

anybody experiencing the same problem?

To reproduce:
- write Lubuntu_For_BananaPro_v1412.img on SDHC card
- insert the card in the Banana Pi slot
- boot
- log in as root
- execute command "reboot"

=> kernel panic

btw: the image Lubuntu_1404_For_BananaPi_v3_1_1.img from Aug 2014 does not seem to have that problem.

Any idea what might be wrong?
Is there any fix/workaround available?

PS: Unfortunately I don't see the whole panic trace, as the screen buffer is too small
I can't get my Lubuntu (Lubuntu_For_BananaPro_v1412.img) to reboot.  I will try my best to see what going on.

Thanks for your feedback. The latest image for BananaPro can run on the BananaPro board with yellow 40pin very well.
If you use the BananaPro Test-board with black 40pin, suggest you to modify the /etc/modules, and annotation ap6210. as shown below:
  1. root@lemaker:~# cat /etc/modules
  2. # /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
  3. #
  4. # This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
  5. # at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

  6. #For SATA Support
  7. #sw_ahci_platform

  8. #Display and GPU
  9. #lcd
  10. #hdmi
  11. ump
  12. #disp
  13. mali
  14. mali_drm
  15. #8192cu

  16. #Wifi module
  17. #ap6210
Copy the Code

Banana Pro images is different from Banana Pi images. please not use the pro images on pi

Fixed I must of UN-installed something I shouldn't have when taking out cups.
Thanks for the help. We all do something dumb.

Thank you hnsncxy and tony_zhang,
I must have overlooked that there are different images for Pi and Pro,
in fact I didn't even know so far that Pro boards exist ...
