I connected a new hard-drive to my banana pi via the SATA-interface. After creating a new GPT and a partition /dev/sda1 with gdisk, I formatted the partition usingSo far so good, everything went fine. But when I mounted the partition, I noticed that the bpi constantly reads or writes to the hard-drive in intervals of approximately 1 second. Note that the drive is completely empty, except for a directory "lost+found", which is also empty and was created automatically. Using iotop I found out that the responsible process is something like "jbd2/sda1-8", which seems to have something to do with ext4-journaling. It writes between 2 and 4 MB/s to my drive. It immediately stops when i unmount the partition.
How can i disable this behaviour? It makes unnecessary noise and increases the power consumption about 1 watt.
OS: Bananian 15.01
Thank you in advance!
