Hello Everyone,

starting from the distribution of LeMedia, I managed to fill Emulestation for Banana Pi with dirver video acceleration.
With a few days off during the Christmas holidays in 2014 I was able to create this "image" that I am attaching.
The image is of a 32gb SD:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/ ... Uk/view?usp=sharing

User: root
Password: bananapi

My ultimate goal was to configure all emulators compatible Emulestation and use either the SD or HDD sata or a share of the network where to get the username rom emulators.
Unfortunately I do not have much time to further configure so I ask you to make a contribution to this new distribution.

Regards

Once you write the .img back to a card 'gparted' is a great tool to grow the 2nd partition to the size you need.

Great job, thank you!

I could not reduce the size of the image on the 16GB?

Resizing an image is something that's on my todo list. It's more complucated than it seems in the first place. I tried several tutorials without any luck.
Maybe someone has a solution.
Cheers

Hmm, me likey! I'm building a MAME cabinet and wanted to use PiPlay with Emulationstation but the GPU wouldn't work, once you've found a way to resize it (I don't have a free 32GB SD card and the Pi is my only PC running Linux in the house) I'll definitely check it out!

If you could shrink this image to 4GB that would be great, this way nobody can work with it... Otherwise, you sir deserve a cookie I can't wait to try it out!!!

Edit: What if we use a new LeMedia installation that is not expanded into this monster of filesystem of yours and merge the filesystems together to have your customized version? Will we be able to keep the permissions on the filesystem in a decent condition?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get a debian version of the DIY Kiosk working. I started to use this image to achieve what I want but I got some problem with the video acceleration. So I used a fresh debian, installed the hw acceleration, compiled and installed retroarch (fba core) but now I'm stuck with the emulationstation's compilation. How did you compile it ? What SDL2 version did you use ?

@mccarthy and @cyryllo : if I have some spare time, I'll try to reduce this image to an 8Gb one. ;)

Try http://www.emulationstation.org/ ... tall_rpi_standalone on Compile and install SDL2 section.

Currently I do not have time to build a  system of yourself on debian , so if you will succeed it would be great
