Raspberry Pi 2 is totally different - different processor, etc. They're the same price as a B+ ($35) and most cases and things are compatible - just not OSes.
As for the Banana Pi, some will work but I've found that OSes dependent on the Pi's specific GPU or CPU (usually the GPU causes issues in my experience) will not run. Some, like BerryBoot's Fedora and Raspbian, etc. will run (not Lemaker-changed images as they come straight from BerryBoot's SourceForge when you download them).
