Raspbian and dual core

Hello all
As I have experience with the RPi and Raspbian I just tried out the Rasbian for Banana Pi v3 release.
First thanks for the great work. I was surprised how fast it starts up and performs compared to the RPi.
As the BPi has a dual core cpu I was wondering if this release was able to use both cores.
  1. cat /dev/cpuinfo
Copy the Code
showed only 1 core
Then I installed hardinfo and there was only 1 core too.

Will there be any chance that Rasbian for BPi will be able to use both cores ? This would additionally increase performance.

As the Rapbian is porting from Raspberry. I think /dev/cpu only display cpu0 information. But dual core works

you use cat /dev/cpuinfo (this working ?)I think it should be:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
