Banana Pro WiFi not Working

7 4607
I am testing the Banana Pro. I installed Bananian 1501, set my configuration to Banana Pro in bananian-config and no wifi module is present. I even added ap6210 to /etc/modules and rebooted, still not working. apt-get update and upgrade didn't help either.

dmesg shows

Any ideas?
What does iwconfig show?

  1. wlan0     IEEE 802.11  ESSID:""

  3.           Bit Rate:65 Mb/s   Tx-Power:32 dBm

There you go... :-)

What you are missing is
  1. ifup wlan0

. There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to configure WiFi on Debian. Easiest is probably to modify /etc/network/interfaces

Got it all sorted once you reminded me it's iwconfig, never deal with wifi so it escaped me. Thanks for your help. I did assume it would be enabled by default so will be posting a mini tutorial for newcomers
