Swap Partition

I am running Lubuntu on a Banana Pi. Normally Linux sets up a swap partition. Would it be an advantage to create a small Swap Partition on the SD Card?
It would be useful only if you're running out of memory time to time but 1 Gb is generally enough ... As per my experience, it's only the case when using a web browser without memory optimization.
But, In any case, it's a bad idea to do it on an SD card : it will stress (and finally reduce its life time) for nothing, and IO on SD card is very slow.

Take in account that linux will swap out "sleeping" processes if a swap is present even if their is lot of free memory ...
