is it possible to turn off the green led on ipfire?

Check the output of
  1. cat /sys/class/leds/green\:ph24\:led1/trigger
Copy the Code
If there are many strings listed then you can try to
  1. echo none >/sys/class/leds/green\:ph24\:led1/trigger
Copy the Code
Or 'misuse' the green LED for other purposes: http://forum.lemaker.org/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=1057&pid=39697

I've tried the above but pakfire reports "No such file or directory".

Then it seems your kernel doesn't support the LEDs via sysfs. What's the output of 'uname -a'?

  1. Linux ipfire 3.14.33-ipfire-multi #1 SMP Fri Feb 20 18:18:34 GMT 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux
Copy the Code
I have found the following:
  1. /sys/class/leds/bananapi:green:usr
Copy the Code

/sys/class/leds/bananapi:green:usr

Ah, ok. This is the right sysfs entry in more recent kernels (it's also mentioned in the linux-sunxi wiki)
