Banana Pro linux-sunxi not updated???

9 1660
I am wondering when Lemaker will update their gihub on Banana Pro to Linux-sunxi Kernel to 4.1.108 ?
I saw on http://forum.banana-pi.org/t/bpi-github-have-update-bpi-m1-m1-kernel-version-to-3-4-108/198 that BPI M1, M1+ already have kernel 4.1.108 while Lemaker still have 4.1.104.

I don't really understand the difference between Lemaker and BPI, aren't they the same company? BPI seemed to have updated their kernel earlier yet Lemaker seem much more popular.

Anyways, Lemaker, update your kernel!
thankz

Those are two different companies but creates the same boards with different names:
Lemaker Bpi (Sinovoip)
Banana Pi
Bpi-m1
Banana Pro
Bpi-m1+
...

The sunxi upstream has supported Banana Pro and Banana Pi. And also some users such as Stephane has made the image with the latest kernel for Banana Pro. But on our github, I keep the stable version.
If many people love it, we can merge it to out Github.

Hi Tony,

can you please point where "Stéphane" told about a new kernel.
Time facing some recurrent hangs after long runs on my server and I'm pretty sure it's due to a resource Leaks probably on the kernel (as my userland is up to date).

I'm not using Igor's kernel as I need sound support (I'm broadcasting musiques to it when I'm doing some work on my basement )

Thanks

Laurent

I think he means kernel 3.4.108, from this link.

There is no such thing as "Igor's kernel"

It's either 3.4.108 from https://github.com/dan-and/linux-sunxi or whatever 4.x version you want from git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git

And there've been stability issues with 3.4.107: http://forum.armbian.com/index.p ... 7-stability-issues/ and http://forum.armbian.com/index.p ... kernel-34107/?p=667

Hi Tony,

can you please point where "Stéphane" told about a new kernel.

I saw the thread that he use the the version higher than 3.19 on Banana Pro with 7inch touch LCD. We help him solve the touch driver problem.

You can also try the 3.4.108 version from Bananian github repo, I have helped Nico test the kernel and the upcoming Bananian, most functions works well .
https://github.com/Bananian/linux-bananapi

The kernel work on Banana Pro with 7inch LCD:

I'll have a look, thanks to all
