Trouble

Pi freeze if network tranfers files

Hi,
it is really strange. I have the raspberry Image on my pi, samba is installed and configured. Connected to the pi, is an usb hd with own power suply. From a win pc I can acceess the released files.
Now the Problem, I can transfer a small file with a size of 16MB. But if the file is a bit larger, about > 100MB, the pi freeze and only a reset could reactivate it. I  tried also other "larger" files, it is always the same.
Does anyone have similar Problems?

Can't reproduce with newest kernel from git (see wiki) and plain/vanilla debian/testing instalation with samba3.

just copied a 3GB file, no errors.

Speed is slow though about 10Mb/s from an encrypted disk and 20Mb/s from a non encrypted disk. At least twice or three times as fast as with the rpi.

I'm having the same problems, during heavy networktransfers i get a "segmentation fault" on the console, independent from used power supply, SD card or operating system. I've no solution up to now.

I have similar problem:

Same for me. +1

In addition:
I get these errors when transfering via owncloud. Doesn't matter if SSD or internal SD.
Any ideas Tony?
