is there a chance that lemaker works together with the ArchLinuxARM guys on officially supporting BananaPi in ALARM? Would be great, I guess.

Recompiling the kernel as in instructions above but setting
  1. CONFIG_FHANDLE=y
Copy the Code
solves the problem with auto-mount mentioned in this thread.

Hi Tony, any updates on that progress?

Attempts to get bananapi supported in alarm have already bend done. ARM Arch guys expressed the opinion that bananapi should be officially supported in sunxi first, before seeking support in Alarm (which makes sense to me).

Please see this post:

Hello,
has anyone built an arch linux image with upstream kernel(3.19)?
It would be realy nice to have a tutorial on this level for making the image.

Hello,

I used the following scripts to build ARCH images:

https://github.com/JuliusTZM/arch-bpi-cross (cross compilation toolchain for BananaPi on Arch)

https://gist.github.com/JuliusTZM (build script for the kernel, uboot, ...)

3.19.3 kernel is working fine at the basic level, however further tests are needed.

Cheers

I have recomiled u-boot from this source: git://github.com/RobertCNelson/u-boot

Now all CPU is working and the kernel is 3.19.5. Maybe other sources from Igor should be taken into consideration: https://github.com/igorpecovnik

With the given scripts you can build up the Arch image quickly with cross compilation.
