About the resolution of the LCD and HDMI
This system for the Guitar support same display with different screen. The LCD is the default master display device, and the HDMI is the slave display device. You only view the resolution of the master display device in the system in general. For instance, you will view the LCD resolution with 1024*600 when you run the "xrandr" command.

About the sys-config tool
we have already provided the sys-config tool which is similar to the rasp-config in the raspbian system, it will more convenient to help you configure generic functions.

Thanks for your support

Any informations regarding the state of USB3.0 in Lemuntu v1509?

The release notes of LeMedia contain the warning words "This version currently supports not perfect for USB3.0, the next version will fix". What does this mean and does this apply also to Lemuntu?

All of the version v1509 support the USB3.0, and it can work well. However, You have to purchase right USB3.0 OTG cable. We will release more USB3.0 information which include the USB3.0 OTG cable specification in next week.

Is this a joke? You send us samples of the Guitar advertised as being capable of USB3.0 and such a relevant information that only a specific sort of cable is sufficient to use USB3 peripherals was neither included with the board you sent nor part of the 'quick start guide'?
Ok, next week you'll release the specs and several weeks later Aliexpress will deliver the appropriate cable. Great!

enable the LCD display

Edited by Tido at Feb 07, 2016 19:38

Hi All, I am new to the forum, have looked all over for an answer to my question to no avail so thought I would now post the query

How do you re-enable the LCD display on this version of the Debian (Lemuntu 1601) to de the dafault console. I noticed tht using the Raspbian image it is automatically mirrored with HDMI, but on this one, I can only get the HDMI to work as console.

I am prety sure it may be a simple thing but the only info I have found so far is dealing with rebuilding the core and thats not in my skill set. + I am pretty sure the drivers are already there and simply need to be enabled

Please can someone post the commands to make the switch (I notice the earlier release was already working with LCD as default wich is why I think this is probably a simple thing)

Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,

In the release notes you continue with enable LCD - this does not really belong together.
You are in the right section at least, Linux.

In opposite to the boot squenze of a classical linux X86 processor it works different with ARM processor.
There is a so called and mostly specific to the device:
====Device Tree ====  DeviceTree Source (DTS)
.dtsfiles for board-level definitions
.dtsifiles for included files, generally containing SoC-level definitions

Release note:
> Update the display framework (HDMI is master device and LCD as slave device by default)
the easy way for you, return to v1511 to get your LCD or

why don't you read here,
  1. http://wiki.lemaker.org/LeMaker_Guitar:LCD
  2. http://wiki.lemaker.org/LeMaker_Guitar:Configure_HDMI_resolution
Copy the Code

and if you have question, open a new thread (please) with your problem.

Thank you

I am having difficulties with the 1601 version of Lemuntu on my newly arrived Guitar. I get a usable video when booting without SD card into Android but the default HDMI mode or any HDMI mode selected results in a scrambled screen. I have tried different monitors; one using a DVI adapter, using two different HD TVs, and a HP 2311 gt 3D monitor, as well as two different HDMI cables. I can get a picture using the new LeMedia image as well. I have tried 1920x1080@60hz as well as the 720p and 50/60hz variations.

you have to update the image which burned to the emmc and sd card to the newer version, and current version don't support DVI cable at present.
