Hi,

I have continued my work on the BLUETOOTH connection. First of all, it works I can connect

Hi all and LeMaker Team

My problem is how to load the bluetooth driver automatically at start up of the system.
I still cannot find a way - do you know how to do that?

Or, is this fixed in the next Lemuntu release?

This may be working if you use GUI. I have no GUI, just command line.
If I reboot the system and: systemctl -l status bluetooth

Then it says that bluetooth is not running :-(

Why not?

If you want to  load the bluetooth driver automatically at start up of the system, you can refer to the following method:
Firstly, add the relevant driver to the /etc/modules
  1. root@Lemuntu:/etc# cat modules
  2. # /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
  3. #
  4. # This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
  5. # at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.
  6. ethernet
  7. wlan_8723bs
  8. rfkill-actions_8723bs
Copy the Code
Secondly, you need to extract the rtl8723bs_bt.tar.gz , then refer to the start_bt.sh to copy relevant files to different file or directory. as follows:
  1. cp rtl8723bs_bt/rtk_hciattach /usr/bin/rtk_hciattach  && chmod +x  /usr/bin/rtk_hciattach
  2. mkdir -p /lib/firmware/rtl_bt/  &&  cp rtl8723bs_bt/rtlbt_*  /lib/firmware/rtl_bt/
Copy the Code
Finally, add the lines below to the /etc/rc.local
  1. # For Bluetooth
  2. rtk_hciattach -n -s 115200 ttyS2 rtk_h5 > /var/log/hciattach.log 2>&1 &
Copy the Code
Other steps, you can refer to the wiki at http://wiki.lemaker.org/LeMaker_Guitar:Bluetooth

Thank you for your command line instruction.

I have a fresh install of Lemuntu 1511, I did your Wiki installation instruction for bluetooth.
In the readme.txt of  rtl8723bs_bt  there is a warning:
WARNING: This driver needs the H5 protocol, which is built into kernels 3.12
and later. If you need to use an earlier kernel, raise an issue on this repo.

Can I use that driver anyway ?
