Hello all,

I have recently built the PaleMoon browser (an optimized Firefox fork) for Debian-armhf.
PaleMoon is nice since it can read Firefox profiles and is compatible with many Firefox addons.
It works nicely on my Banana Pro running Bananian (Debian Wheezy). I have installed gnash plugin for flash support.

Here are some links:
- the webpage with installation instructions: http://raspi.palemoon.org/
- the binary files http://raspi.palemoon.org/latest/
- the thread on PaleMoon forum https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10050
- the source code of my build https://github.com/dimag0g/Pale-Moon/tree/25.7_RelBranch

I wonder if anyone is interested to give it a try.

Anyway to use an apt-get ?

Nope, not yet. Right now you can install PaleMoon in two ways:

1. Download the installation script and run it as root
or
2. Grap the package and follow the installation instructions manually

Upgrading is as simple as running the script again once the update is out.

I can look into packaging, but there are other things to be done (like getting flash faster) which I think are more important.
Besides, I'm not sure I'll have the ability to run a proper Debian repo, much less getting my package accepted in packages.debian.org/wheezy/armhf/
