ATC2603 - how to interpret values given?

Hi,

How to interpret values given from ATC2603?

We can use a nice software called RPi-Monitor, a great lightweight monitoring tool
written for the RasPi, but it also works well with Guitar's ATC2603 & S500 (ATM7059), if you adjust the configuration-file.

There are several sources for the values, but none is proven:
Wiki from LeMaker  here you can see the data is wrong, as the Guitar has 4.28V - so you cannot count on this values.

  • XApple I guess TKaiser wrote it here, because we have no access to the WIKI from LeMaker.


In order to ensure that the reporting from RPi-Monitor is correct,
we need to know how to interpret the values from the ATC2603 delivered.
Most probably Action-Semi knows, but until now we cannot find this information on the internet,
although such an information is not a secret.

Any chance that you can talk to Action Semi to get the right values /parameters?
It would be also helpful to you in the end to run tests and for the users.

The tool itself is very smart, little load to the ARM device, calculating & design is done in the Webbrowser
of the client PC

We can get the wall voltage and current  as the power consumption of the whole system(include PMU unit) by using the following method.
  1. cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/device/wall_voltage
  2. 4226 mV            
  3. cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/device/wall_current
  4. 101 mA

The wall voltage on the boards is ok, But the wall current is not credible, and we are trying to fix the problem.

In order to ensure the performance of the PMU, and it use the external MOS to balance the current.Therefore the wall current should include the current through internal MOS and external MOS. As follows:

We can use the following method to get the current through internal MOS.
  1. cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/device/wall_current

There is proportion relationship between the current through internal MOS and external MOS, as shown table below. (From the Actions Semi)

Note: The data above from the experimental results which tested on the LeMaker Guitar, and some errors are existing.
