Wifi & Network at Startup

1 945
Hello Guys,

I cant get the Network-Connection to work properly. I want my Bpi pro to check at startup wether a LAN cable is plugged in or not. If not the Wifi Connection sould be used. My Problem is: It dont work on first Startup (From the shutdowned device -> Powerbutton). If I restart the running device everything works well. Do anybody knows the Problem? My current Configuration is:

auto lo

iface lo inet loopback

iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.4
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1

auto wlan0
allow-hotplug wlan0
iface wlan0 inet static
address 192.168.0.5
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1
wpa-ap-scan 1
wpa-scan-ssid 1
wpa-ssid "SSID"

wpa-psk "PASSWORD"
Try running this in the command line to restart network service:
  1. sudo service networking reload
Copy the Code

If it works maybe you can add it to /etc/rc.local to restart the service at every boot.
