Kernel 4 on Bananian?

I recently fired up my Banana Pi for the first time with the latest Bananian download. Much to my surpise Bananian uses kernel 3.4? I looked at "boot.cmd" and see references to kernel 4. Is there a plan to switch full time support over to kernel 4? If not, is there a way to implement a "stable" kernel 4 in Bananian with out having to "compile" the kernel?

If you also want to use GPU,  3.4 works better and is still updated from sunxi.
4.x there are two roads you can take:

Road one, you have to be patient for some time.

Road two, you can give it a try.
