Oh I see why
The folder name has spaces.
That is out of my control. I cannot change the archive.
Workaround:
After Downloading and extracting, Issue this command
  1. cd FW\ Burning\ Tool\ for\ Linux\ PC\ V1.1_01/
Copy the Code
instead of
  1. cd FWBurning_Tool_For_Linux_V1.1_01
Copy the Code

and this command
  1. sudo chmod +x FWBurningTool-1.1.run
Copy the Code
to make it excutable before
this command
  1. sudo ./FWBurningTool-1.1.run
Copy the Code

I have edited the Wiki to reflect the changes

Got that all done, but I still don't see FWBurning tool in my programs on Ubuntu.

Is it suppoed to be an app I can use or does it pop up when the board is hooked up?

I have tried to put the board into flash mode but still nothing.

Does it require a special cable just for flahing?

I have used linux for a lot of years but don't use the command line on the terminal ...

Hi Kevin,

This is not Microsoft Windows, this is not Apple Computer.

These are development boards - this means you can develop something with them but they are not "double click" and done.
If you expected this. Put it on eBay.

This program is started from command line. So you can either open a terminal in the folder with your file-browser or you
cd (change directory) to it.

Then you have to read. Yes, no "double click" and done.
So if you want that, you read, think about it, if it does not work, ask Google.

Thing is, once you understood - you improve fast.

There is no app to click on. The program is launched from command line. Wiki here. No special cable is required. Just plain old micro usb 2.0. If you find launching the software too challenging, you may want to use MS Windows. If you want to know if it is in ADFU, run 'lsusb'.
