Can't boot on SD card

Hi, I copied whole disk of the flash memory to a SD card with "dd" (sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/dev/mmcblk1). However,  I couldn't boot on the SD card.
In grub memu, I selected "Debian GNU/Linux (SD card)", it went to initramfs console. My goal is booting a linux on SD card and installing Xen on it.
Can anyone boot a linux on SD card?
