Realtek on-board ethernet not working suddenly in windows 8

0 126
Hello,

I don't know what changed in my system but suddenly neither of my onboard ethernet adapters are working. There was a power outage yesterday so I initially thought they fried, BUT when I did the scan in the BIOS both ports showed a MAC address when I hit F9 and they both recognized that the cable was less than 10M. So I started thinking it was a Windows 8/Driver thing...I've hit "troubleshoot", disabled/enabled, reinstalled/uninstalled drivers, switched ports...I'm not sure what else to try. I'm guessing I'll just have to buy an actual card to put in there but I'm irritated by the fact that the adapters are getting MAC addresses.Anything I haven't tried?

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
