I do have same problem
This is my very first run of this card
I only load android image on my SD card, add keyboard & mouse and connect a videoprojector to RCA (yellow composite connector)
the card just light on the red LED but no signal on video, nothing append
Is there a way to control my board ? should I first run with hdmi monitor to setup something ?

You can use the uart to see if the system has boot without HDMI. |

Just to have primary check, does the board boot without having any OS (no SDCARD) ? |

The OS is installed on the SD card. So if you don't have the SD card, there is nothing output to the monitor. |
