Thanks for the quick response cyryllo. After installing simplenas I have ran bananian-update and it offers me to upgrade to Debian 8. Is there a need to stay at Debian 7?

Now you have two options:
-------------------------
1.) Upgrade to Debian 8/Jessie
2.) Stay at Debian 7/Wheezy

Bananian 15.08 (and later versions) will only be available for Debian 8/Jessie.
Debian 7/Wheezy is still supported and will receive kernel and security updates.

Best regards,

OVM 2.0 does not work with Debian 8 Jessie, there are a lot of posts about this, so don't try this (I did )E.g.:

Suddenly stopped working FTP. When starting an error:

Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; invoke-rc.d 'proftpd' start 2>&1': Starting ftp server: proftpdBanaNAS proftpd[9330]: Fatal: LoadModule: error loading module 'mod_radius.c': Operation not permitted on line 53 of '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf' failed! invoke-rc.d: initscript proftpd, action "start" failed.
