Won't boot after update to 14.09

    Have you tried Raspbian or any other image? Is it working for you?

Raspbian is working well. On the previous version of Bananian, the bs=1M parameter prevented boot altogether. Now with the same parameter, boot starts, but stops after kernel panic.

I got a booting 14.09 version of Bananian. Instead of the line
  1. dd if=bananian-1409.img of=/dev/<your-sd-card> bs=1M && sync

One has to use
  1. dd if=bananian-1409.img of=/dev/<your-sd-card> bs=4M && sync

I don't know why 1M fails, but I do know it took 3 hours and a half to write, while the 4M took 15 minutes only. Both were done on 8GB Class 4 microSD cards.

I can boot the 14.09 Bananian normally. And I also use bs=4M

Same with my banana pi. Tried several sd cards, checked the sha1sum. 14.08 works fine. After an update I got the same weird behavior.

Not booting. Nothing on the screen

I have the same problem, I can boot 14.08 without problems, but after update it's over, with a fresh 14.09 image to sd card, I have the same problem.
(I Used dd with -bs 4M and the gnome-disk-utility 3.12.1)

It see to be a bootloop

Use "DC in" for power supply!!! Not the USB OTG.

Then it will work fine.

I am using the DC input, yet it kernel crashes. Green LED is flashing quickly on my unit.

Hello , I had the same problem, it is indeed a concern for electric power , I changed my original usb cable with a cable samsung micro usb and everything is fine . I can even plug in a hard drive on sata port which was not the case before . Sorry for english ( google translation ).
