Yep i used the 2.0 iso. I just ignored the dpkg thing when it started whining about something . Then i did some funky things and broke everything so i need to do everything again.

First post updated as well.

DOWNLOAD ISO

Last but not least here you can download the ISO.
It fits on a 8GB SD card, based on a BananaPi board.
Use your preferred software to burn it on a SD.

Arcade Kiosk

What's in:

  • default pwd: bananapi
  • autologin with bananapi user
  • auto startup of following apps from '/etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart ':
    • florence virtual keyboard for touchscreen (I use a touchscreen 15" with this kiosk)
    • xset scripts to disable black screen timeout
    • setxkbmap it (for italian keyboard) - edit it here
    • qjoypad + keybindings to map joystick buttons to relay actions (for turn on off monitor and sound docking station)
    • some gpio settings
  • RetroArch (of course!)
  • some games (tested)
  • desktop shortcuts to execute: RetroArch in framebuffer (recommended) or in X11
  • Chromium

Feel free to edit it and let me know for further help, if needed

Let me know your opinion! :-)

Simon you are the best!!

Just waiting for my Banana Pro and 3,5 inch RGB LED module...

I want to build a BananaBoy

If you use this image with Banana Pro, it works, but you'll miss the WiFi module and not all GPIO are present.
You only need to replace the the hw_pack. :-)

I have a bit of a problem with the RetroArch in the ISO xefil made. I can use only up arrow and x,z,enter in the RetroArch and can't config any other buttons. There is no configurations ffor other arrows either, and my xbox 360 controller doesn't show up but it did not do that on my phone either so i guess it's the controller that weird . So is there way to use keyboard at all on this build or am i just bad at this?

I also got the same problems.. In the config (/etc/retroarch-mali.cfg) I changed input_player1_joypad_index = "1" to input_player1_joypad_index = "0" and it worked for me (with my controller, not keyboard). Problem I face is that configs are not saved when leaving the retroarch.
