I have the same problem no Boot with 14.09 and 14.08 runs normal.

Hi,

replace the script.bin in dev/mmcblk0p1 on 14.09 with 14.08 and it will boot

If this would do the trick then the Banana Pi is right now using the wrong Micro USB port (USB OTG instead of pwr-in). Why not adjust cabling instead?

As for the other problem some people seem to expierence (using the right power connector and being able to upgrade from 14.08 to 14.09 but not using a 'clean install' of 14.09) the problem must be located within U-Boot as Nico confirmed already here in this thread. Therefore exchanging script.bin can't help in that situation if I'm not missing something.

I am using the right Micro USB port, the one near Sata
I don´t know why but with script.bin fron 14.08 14.09 boot without pb
It´s just a trick for those who have pb with booting 14.08 after upgrade with the correct Micro USB port
And perhaps it can help to find why

guys,
had the same problem with my bananaPI with bananian 14.09 and also the current lubuntu. issues has been disappeared for me when using a stronger power supply (2A instead of 0.7A).

got the first power supply included in a bananaPI starter kit, so just wondering why?? i won't be the only one with that problem

5V 2A is the recommended power source for BananaPi.

It seems that unfortunately the starter kit you bought was incorrect on that.

I just reinstalled 14.08 on my 1st Banana Pi and diffed both script.bins. Many voltage related things changed

So 14.09 with its own script.bin consumes slightly more power and clocks the DRAM slower.

The error was found and the bugfix is confirmed as working.

It was just a small bug in our fex (script.bin) configuration.
