Has anybody managed to make kali linux run on a banana pi? I tried the raspberry pi image, both armel and armhf, but neither worked.

Hi All,

I'm also trying to get Kali up and running. It boots but I have the same prob than cracker in posting 2, "no phy found". Without TCP/IP kali is kind of worthless.
I have tried to update the Uboot partition like schedak described in http://www.bananapi.com/index.ph ... se-note?start=6#362, but his description is kind of vague. Simply copying the files found in the archive archive he mentions in his posting is not enough, again "no phy found".

Could anybody please be more elaborate what exactly must be done to "update" the Uboot partition ?

@LeMaker, is it possible that you provide a fixed Kali image, please ?

@hnsncxy, is it possible that you shed some light in this topic, please ?

Thanks in advance

First, Building u-boot, script.bin and linux-kernel

And then update these :
u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin
uImage
script.bin
modules/3.4.XX

Or  just try my image

You can try with bp-update script to update the kernel in your kali linux.

Hi,

thanks a lot for clarification . If time permits I'll try to update the kernel. The easy way to use cracker's image is too easy

But again the question, wouldn't it make sense to provide an updated image ?

Can any one try and make wifislax work on the banana Pi ?

I have build a fully working Kali Linux image.
The only "problem" is, that when I boot there is no bottmessage shown.
You just see the Linux penguin and the rest of the screen is black. After that you can normally login..
Does anyone else have this problem?
I can't figure out why this happens..
