It seems like my precious BaPi is dead.
Few days ago I downloaded and installed Bananian, everything went great.
I managed to configure few services that I need (pppoe, vpn, httpd, vsftpd, and many more), during that I did a few reboots.
When all was finished I decided to make one more final reboot and start "production time" of my BaPi.
You can imagine what of a huge surprise it was when my BaPi didn't wake up... my screen was black, there was no green led (however red one shines /doesn't blink even once/, which means that BaPi gets power).
Hmm, so I thought that maybe something went wrong with bananian files and decided to connect my SD card to PC, make a dump of bananian to IMG file, then format SD and write clean babanian. After that .. nothing has changed.
Next I tried 3 different SD's ... same result.
So, if not SD then maybe power supply (I'm using great active usb hub made by Pluggable /3Amps/), I tried 4 different ... nothing has changed
Because I have no more ideas left, I ordered a PL2303 which shipped today.
I connected Tx, Rx and Gnd from BaPi to PL2303 and made an Putty connection.
Sadly text I saw didn't look good:
Few reboots didn't change a thing. Copy the Code
- U-Boot SPL 2014.04-10694-g2ae8b32 (Aug 26 2014 - 21:23:21)
- Board: Bananapi
- DRAM: 1024 MiB
- Failed to set core voltage! Can't set CPU frequency
- MMC Device 0 not found
- spl: mmc device not found!!
- ### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ###
Does it mean my BaPi is dead ?
If so ... what the heck killed it ?
I did nothing out of ordinary (as you can see above)
