This is a special configuration.

Of course it is. The BPi-R1 folks go with stmmac together with b53_common/b53_mdio: http://yiwang.elastos.org/2014/1 ... api-r1-is-released/

Therefore no image for Banana Pi will work with enabled ethernet since GMAC+RTL8211 (sunxi_gmac) is different than GMAC+BCM53125 (stmmac/b53*)

Update: There is a new Image for Banana Pi R1 on bananapi.com and this is working.
You can configure it via LUCI (webinterface). SSH must be activatet via the LUCI interface.

Default Router IP is: 10.0.0.1

What doesn´t work in the Image:
- Wireless-LAN (rtl8192cu)
- telnet
- User define LED (green)

Just received my Banana Pi router and look forward to having a play.

Would really like a "command line" os to be working with it (eg: Bananian)

Will see what I can do.

Hello!

Yes! I could install my BPi-R1 your link helped for me...

Unfortunately I have two error:

1. I haven't find WIFI option.
2. I opinion OpenWRT is very slow...
Banana PI Speed: MAX: 30/30 Mbps, Banana Pi without 110/50 Mbps.
Why? How can it to accelerate?

Thx.

Try K-Melon or seamonkey 2.21

The "K" is already nice for maintenance usage with the pi or you want
risk failed connections/loaded tabs with your usual browser due to newtork
outage from overlapping gateways.

Update: OpenWRT V2.0 was released for Banana Pi R1 (Lamobo R1) on bananapi.com with working WIFI.

You can configure it via LUCI (webinterface). SSH must be activatet via the LUCI interface.

Default Router IP is: 10.0.0.1

http://www.bananapi.com/index.ph ... 1-v2-0-was-released

Known bugs:
- User define LED (green) doesn´t work
- speed issues (speed only between ~100 and ~400 mbit/s)

First of all many thanks for your effort. Installing was easy, even when Rufus is not working on my Windows 8.1 notebook. SD card is invisible for Rufus, but not for the "old" tools like Win32DiscImager.
LAN connection works perfect. WIFI stops bridging to LAN after few minutes. WIFI signal itself is stiff.
Any idea?

Try to change the "Channel Width" to : 20Mhz.
