You can try using another browser, for example chrome.

yes chromium work fine but firefox have other extensions

Try System Tools/Software Updater

It upgrades firefox also and at least in my case solved the problem.

I've still not installed lubuntu, but if it's like any other debian based distro you can usually:
  1. sudo apt-get install <package-name>
Copy the Code
Also you can use bash completion:
  1. $ sudo apt-get install chro<tab><tab>
  2. chromium-browser                  chromium-bsu-data                 chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-dbg        chrony
  3. chromium-browser-dbg              chromium-chromedriver             chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra      chrootuid
  4. chromium-browser-l10n             chromium-chromedriver-dbg         chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra-dbg
  5. chromium-bsu                      chromium-codecs-ffmpeg            chronicle
  6. $ sudo apt-get install chro
Copy the Code
If the above doesn't work you can install bash-completion with:
  1. sudo apt-get install bash-completion
Copy the Code
If you don't like having to press tab twice add this to your inputrc:

  1. set show-all-if-ambiguous on
Copy the Code
