Support status of SATA port multipliers connected to A20

Are the SATA tricks applied in the latest Bananian image (Debian Jessie) for Banana Pi? So I don't need to reinvent the wheel.

It doesn't appear so, i had to recompile kernel in latest (version: 16.04) Bananian image to make it work.
Currently trying to figure out how to make it work with latest Armbian, which also seems to require recompile.

It appears that PMP can be enabled on Armbian vanilla kernel without recompiling kernel, with the instructions from: ... r-recompile/?p=7505

edit /boot/boot.cmd
change line starting with "setenv bootargs" so that the end of it now reads ahci_sunxi.enable_pmp=1"
recompile with "mkimage -C none -A arm -T script -d /boot/boot.cmd /boot/boot.scr"

The support status of this SATA port multiplier is very attractive and has many great uses. Thank you for sharing.

happy wheels
