Is there a chance to have a remote desktop accessing Bananian?
SSH is best choice.

Thank You. Indeed, SSH is working.
Is there a graphical remote Desktop?

I'm using xfce with tightvncserver.
Works fine ;-)

I use remote desktop with my BPi's all the time...

Here is how to install the xrdp service: (for inbound connections)

sudo apt-get install xrdp

If you want to use the BPi to remote desktop into PC's or other Pi's:

sudo apt-get install remmina

Thats it - works fine for me under Raspbian. Have not tried it under other distributions.

Because I have the problem related to Bananian, I posted it here.
Reported solutions working under Raspian untested under Bananian
are anything but helpful here.

Have you installed a graphical user interface? Then it should work fine with RDP and VNC. If not, you have to use SSH.

Bananian is Debian with a custom kernel and some modifications to support the hardware as best as possible. So just look for a suitable Debian tutotial and it will work.

Did you even try xrdp under bananian?

As Bananian is based on Wheezy (like Raspbian) if it works under Raspbian, it is likely to work under bananian, once dependencies are met... something apt-get does, as long as all needed packages are in the repositories.

As bananian notes, expecting a remote desktop into a system without desktop software installed is perhaps less than helpful.

Has anyone gotten x11vnc working with lxde on bananian? I'm having some serious trouble getting it to work.

I am using lxde with tightserver and xrdp, details for how I've done it are here in my post: http://forum.lemaker.org/forum.p ... amp;extra=#pid70332
